Come, Let’s Fly

All these years, I have been walking
Stroll at best, when life got stalking
Wearing glasses, that came for free
Society gave it, to climb “growth tree”

Glass change colours, as I change too
Goal post shifts, as I walk through
Vision blurs, as time flies by
Isn’t it time, to prepare and fly?

Society shouts, “Wait a moment”
“Allow the present to twist and foment”
“Focus is key, hence put on blinkers”
“Or else you would join the flunkers”

Being held back, makes me yearn
So much unknown, yet to learn
How I wish, such shackles are gone
So, I could step into dawn

Dawn of wealth, that one can’t count
Bird of wisdom, worthy to mount
To do so, I need to throw,
Social glasses, and recipe to grow

Soaring high, the vision clears
Now I feel, my life endears
Joy of living, I do comply
Come with me, let us fly
